About Great Lakes Well Water
Great Lakes Well Water is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing company doing business as Compass Lead Group. We are not a well water treatment contractor and do not perform well water treatment work. What we do is simpler: we connect Michigan homeowners on private wells with independent, licensed local professionals who test and treat water for a living.
What this service is
We operate this website to connect Michigan homeowners with licensed, insured well water treatment contractors. When you submit a match request, your information is forwarded to an independent local contractor who can schedule your free assessment. From that point the relationship is yours and theirs: the contractor examines your water, quotes the work in writing, and performs it if you hire them. Your contract is with the contractor, not with us.

What we ask of every contractor
Matching is not an endorsement, and we do not rate or rank anyone. We do ask that every contractor who receives requests through this site meet four objective standards:
- Hold current Michigan licensing or registration where the work requires it
- Carry current general liability insurance
- Offer written workmanship warranties on completed work
- Provide transparent, itemized written estimates before performing any work
Why the site cites state and federal sources
Drinking water is a health topic, so every statistic and threshold published here is drawn from a primary source: EGLE, MDHHS, the USGS, and the Michigan PFAS Action Response Team. If a figure cannot be verified against one of those, it does not appear on the site. You will not find testimonials, review scores, or team photos here either, because this site does not have customers in the contractor sense. It has readers, and readers deserve numbers with receipts.
